SC 29 reminds its National Bodies that have changed their votes from negative to yes that they should inform the ISO/IEC ITTF of its change of position as soon as possible, preferably by facsimile. SC 29 further approves the following subsequent progression of work items on condition that the Disposition of Comments reports satisfactorily dispose all comments accompanying negative votes.

Resolution 94-11/No. 2 Cooperative Project Between WG 11 and WG 12
SC 29 approves development of project JTC 1.29.06.03 as a consistent multimedia scripting language standardization for use in stand-alone and networked interactive multimedia applications and services and instructs its WG 11 and WG 12 to cooperate in this work in such a way that the schedule of work of MHEG-3 will be maintained.

SC 29 approves the following modifications to the current Programme of Work of SC 29 contained in document SC 29 N 888 Rev, and instruct its Secretariat to submit these to JTC 1 for endorsement:

SC 29 accepts the proposal of the National Body of UK that WG 1 appoints Mr. Richard Clark as co-project editor of JTC 1.29.04.03 and project editor of JTC 1.29.12 and wishes him success in those roles.

Resolution 94-11/No. 8 Advisory Group (AG) of Registration Authority (RA) for ISO/IEC 9281-2:1990
SC 29 establishes its Advisory Group of Registration Authority for ISO/IEC 9281-2:1990 as of 1994-11-14.
SC 29 requests the National Body of France to elect four AG members by 1995-01-15 and inform the SC 29 Secretariat of their names and contact information.

Resolution 94-11/No. 9 Endorsement of Registration Authority for ISO/IEC 13522-4
SC 29 endorses the nomination of the French National Body as JTC 1 Registration Authority for MHEG Format Identifiers, and instructs its Secretariat to inform JTC 1/SWG-RA of this endorsement for further processing.

SC 29 confirms liaison with JTC 1/SC 11, and instructs its Secretariat to inform SC 11 of the confirmation.

Resolution 94-11/No. 11 Commonality of JTC 1/SC 11 and SC 29 Lossless Coding Work
SC 29 instructs its Chairman to communicate to the ISO/IEC JTAG 2 that SC 29 acknowledges the request of JTAG 2 Resolution 79-94 taken at the fifth JTAG 2 meeting, 1994-04-06/08, Rochester, US, and will commit to check the possible commonality of our work with the work of SC 11 on lossless compression algorithms. This co-ordination of work will take place through established liaisons. Currently, all work on lossless coding within SC 29 is being conducted by WG 1.

Resolution 94-11/No. 12 Usefulness of liaison with JTC 1/SC 30
SC 29 confirms the liaison with JTC 1/SC 30 for the purpose to aligning procedures regarding the application of still image information interchange in order to harmonize the identification messages for future applications, and instruct its Secretariat inform the SC 30 Secretariat of this decision.

Resolution 94-11/No. 13 Establishment of liaison with ISO/TC 46
SC 29 instructs its Secretariat to establish a liaison with ISO/TC 46 for the purpose of exchanging information for ancillary data within bitstreams coded by SC 29 standards.

Resolution 94-11/No. 14 Request for Establishment of Liaison with IEC/TC
SC 29 takes note of the proposal for a new field of technical activity in IEC, contained in SC 29 N 924. In the event that this proposal is accepted by the IEC, SC 29 instructs its Secretariat to contact the Secretariat of the newly-formed TC regarding establishment of a formal liaison with SC 29.
SC 29 also instructs its Chairman to request confirmation of the terms of reference of the proposed TC at the sixth ISO/IEC JTAG 2 meeting, 1994-12-07/09, Geneva, Switzerland, and to provide a copy of those terms of reference to the SC 29 Secretariat for circulation to its members.

Resolution 94-11/No. 15 Establishment of Category C Liaison
SC 29 approves the statements of expected benefits and responsibilities of the category C liaison with the following organizations, and instructs its Secretariat to take appropriate action to obtain acceptance by the organizations and submit recommendations to JTC 1 for further proposal to ITTF.

Resolution 94-11/No. 16 Still Picture Interchange File Format (SPIFF) Activity
SC 29 instructs its Secretariat to inform the JTAG 2 of the SPIFF activity in WG 1, in consultation with the WG 1 Convener, in response to Resolution 85-94 taken at the fifth JTAG 2 meeting, 1994-04-06/08, Rochester, US (Ref. SC 29 N 841).

SC 29 requests its National Bodies and WGs to forward comments on 1) checklist for editors and rapporteurs from JTC 1|ITU-T Collaborative projects and 2) proposed structure and purpose for an Implementor's Guide, contained in SC 29 N 1018 and N 1019 (JTC 1 N 3158 and N 3219) respectively to its Secretariat by 1995-03-31. SC 29 also instruct its Secretariat to submit them to JTC 1 for review.

SC 29 instructs its Secretariat to forward document SC 29 N 856 to JTC 1/SWG on JTC 1 Strategy for Implementing IT in order to reiterate our support for the contribution of Mr. Roger Price, co-project editor for JTC 1.29.06.01 and for their consideration in developing future routine use of IT.

SC 29 requests its National Bodies to notify potential contributors to the calls for contributions issued for projects JTC 1.29.10 and JTC 1.29.12 contained in documents SC 29 N 777 and N 778 respectively that the deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to 1995-07-01, and no proposals will be presented or evaluated at the fourth WG 1 meeting, 1995-03-06/10, Tokyo, Japan.
