Subdivisions
JTC 1.29.12 01
(14495-1) | Part 1: Baseline

Rationale: Baseline covers low complexity modes
|
JTC 1.29.12 02
(14495-2) | Part 2: Extensions

|
JTC 1.29.13.05
(14496-5) | Part 5: Reference software [Technical Report Type 3]
Support: NBs active in WG 11
Rationale: The continuous progress of generic CPUs make it desirable to provide a complete software implementation of the MPEG-4 standard. The same software also plays the role of reference implementation of the standard thus easing conformance assessment problems.
|
JTC 1.29.13.06
(14496-6) | Part 6: DSM-CC Multimedia Integration Framework (DMIF)
Support: NBs active in WG 11

(13818-1/AMD 4) |
AMENDMENT 4: Semantic and table definitions for 4:2:2 and multiview profiles
Support: NBs active in WG 11
Rationale: Rationale: The addition of the 4:2:2: profile to ISO/IEC 13818-2 requires additional tables and table entries in selected clauses of ISO/IEC 13818-1. This amendment provides the required specifications for those table and table entries.
|
JTC 1.29.05.02.01.05
(13818-1/AMD 5) |
AMENDMENT 5: System-related table entries for Advanced Audio Coding (AAC)
Support: NBs active in WG 11
Rationale: The completion of ISO/IEC 13818-7 (AAC) requires the addition of specific table entries in ISO/IEC 13818-1 in order for the AAC bitstream to be recognized by decoders. The specifications contained in this amendment provide those entries.
|
JTC 1.29.05.02.04.01
(13818-4/AMD 1) |
AMENDMENT 1: Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) Conformance Testing
Support: NBs active in WG 11

|
JTC 1.29.05.02.05.01
(13818-5/AMD 1) |
AMENDMENT 1: Advanced Audio Coding (AAC)
