STATUS In accordance with Resolution 40 taken at the eleventh JTC 1 plenary meeting, 1997-09-09/12, Ottawa, Canada,
- JTC 1 Secretariat called this ad hoc meeting
- JTC 1 instructed its Secretariat to begin a revision of the JTC 1 Directives incorporating all currently approved additions and modifications, with the exception of those still undergoing trial use (such as PAS and Business Teams), and other changes necessitated by actions of JTC 1's reengineering and IT strategy ad hocs. This revision activity should attempt to streamline and improve the clarity and utility of the Directives to the greatest extent possible
- JTC 1 requested its Secretariat to present a draft 4th edition of the JTC 1 Directives at the twelfth JTC 1 plenary meeting, 1998-06-01/05, Sendai, Japan.
- JTC 1 requested JTC 1 NBs and SCs to comment and provide specific suggestions for changes and improvements to the JTC 1 Directives by 1998-01-01.
