In accordance with subclause 7.7 of the JTC 1 Directives (fourth edition), each SC 29 member shall send the SC 29 Secretariat and the host contact a Delegates list showing the names and employers of their representatives and also the name of the head of delegation by 1999-11-13.
Each delegate/representative is requested to register at the SC 29 Secretariat by 1999-11-13.
In accordance with subclause 7.8 of the JTC 1 Directives (fourth edition), the SC 29 members are requested to submit their contributions to the plenary meeting to the Secretariat by 1999-11-13.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Outrigger Wailea Resort.
The sleeping room rate is $142.00 single/double, $155.00 Ocean front single/double. It is essential that you make your reservations with Preferred by filling out the enclosed form to ensure a reservation.
Reservations must be made no later than October 25, 1999.
The facilities fee for the entire meetings is US $ 250. Facilities fees are payable by check, (made out to Preferred, Inc., credit card (Amex, Visa, MasterCard) or cash.
Registration will be open:
WG Meetings: from 1:00pm-6:00pm Sunday, December 5 and Monday, December 6 by 7:30am.
SC 29 Plenary: Monday, December 13 by 7:30am.
You are encouraged to register early to avoid delays.
The Honolulu International Airport is a full service International Airport. It is a 20 minute flight to the Kahului Airport. The Hotel is 16 miles from the Kahului Airport, about a 25 minute drive. As Maui has become more and more popular, many airlines are offering direct flights to Maui, check with your travel agent for more information.
From Kahului Airport, go to the baggage claim area phones and press the number for Airport Shuttle. The fee is $20/person and runs regularly. Taxi rides are about $33.00 each way.
Exit the Kahului Airport (Keolani Drive). At the 1st intersection with stoplights, go straight, passing the K-Mart on your left. At the 2nd stoplight, go straight through. You will be on Dairy Road. Stay in your left lane passing the Maui Market Place on your left. Get in the left lane and at the light, go left to Mokulele Highway #311/350. Drive for approximately 10 minutes until you approach a stoplight. Turn left, Pi'ilani Highway #31. Drive for another 10 minutes and the highway will end. Turn right on Wailea Ike Drive. Go to the bottom of drive and turn right on to Wailea Alanui Drive. Stay in your left lane and turn left at the first driveway. You will be at the Outrigger Wailea Resort.

The second largest island in the Hawaiian Island chain with a land mass of 727 square miles. Wailea is located on the sunny side of South Maui at the foot of majestic Mt. Haleakala, gthe house of the sunh Wailea has golden beaches, tropical beauty, world-class recreation, shopping and dining.
The ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29 Meetings will be held at the Outrigger Wailea Resort. The Outrigger Resort is a first-class, spacious resort with over a 1/2 mile of prime Wailea coastline.
Foreign visitors entering the United States must be in possession of a valid passport. Participants from countries requiring a visa should apply to the US consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries.
The climate in Maui is warm and enjoyable most of the year. The average temperature in December is around 80F/ 27C for the high, and around 48F/ 9C for the low.
Dress is mostly casual in Maui, business attire is worn, but restaurants generally are accustomed to serving both formally and casually attired customers. In general, wear what you feel most comfortable in.
Maui offers a variety of cuisine plus delightful local fare.
Tipping is customary for many travel and dining services in the US. Here are some guidelines:
Taxi: Typically, a 10% tip is provided to taxi drivers.
Restaurants: Typically, a 15% tip is left for restaurant wait staff.
Porters: Typically, one or several dollars is provided for bellboys, doormen, etc., depending upon the service requested. ($1/bag)
The Outrigger Wailea provides many recreational activities, oceanfront jogging paths, 54 holes of championship golf, 3 freshwater swimming pools, deep sea fishing, catamaran sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, scuba diving, and 11 plexipave tennis courts and another 3 lit for evenings.

Major banks are open from 9am to 4pm, Monday thru Friday. They close on Saturday and Sunday and public holidays. Some banks and branches are open slightly longer hours; some banking services are not available an hour before closing.
