In accordance with subclause 7.7 of the JTC 1 Directives (fourth edition), each SC 29 member shall send the SC 29 Secretariat and the host contact a Delegates list showing the names and employers of their representatives and also the name of the head of delegation by 2001-02-12.
Each delegate/representative is requested to register
In accordance with subclause 7.8 of the JTC 1 Directives (fourth edition), the SC 29 members are requested to submit their contributions to the plenary meeting to the Secretariat by 2001-02-12.

The facilities fee for the entire meetings (WG+SC 29) is S$600 (about US $330) and for the SC 29 Plenary meeting only is S$300 (about US$150). Facilities fees are payable by check (made out to NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY), credit card (Visa, MasterCard) or cash in advance or on site.
Each delegate/representative is also requested to register to host.
You are encouraged to register early to avoid delays.

The sleeping room rate is S$230.00 single/twin (net and including the tax and service charges). It is essential that you make your reservations with The Pan Pacific Hotel by filling out the enclosed form to ensure a reservation.
Reservations must be made no later than FEBRUARY 03, 2000.
The Changi International Airport, Singapore, is a full service International Airport. The Hotel is about 25 kilometers and 20-minutes drive from the Airport.
At the Airport, taxi stands are outside the baggage claim area. Taking taxi to the Hotel is probably most inexpensive and convenient way, rather than renting a car and driving yourself. The taxi fare is based on the meter, and no tip is needed.

The ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29 Meetings will be held at the The Pan Pacific Hotel a five-star hotel, which has a distinctive 35-floor atrium with rooms serviced by exterior and interior bubble lifts offering impressive views of the bay and city skyline. Located in the City centre at the heart of Marina Square, Suntec City and Millenia Walk Shopping Complexes and a 3-floor Duty Free Store next door. The hotel is also close to Singapore's historic district, entertainment area, and night spots such as Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Chijmes.
Foreign visitors entering Singapore must be in possession of a valid passport. Participants from countries requiring a visa should apply to Singapore consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries.
The climate in Singapore is warm and enjoyable most of the year. The average temperature in March is around 90F/32C for the high, and around 77F/ 25C for the low.
Dress is mostly casual in Singapore, business attire is worn, but restaurants generally are accustomed to serving both formally and casually attired customers. In general, wear what you feel most comfortable in.
Singapore offers a variety of cuisine plus delightful local fare. The Pan Pacific itself has 6 restaurants (including one 24-hour service).
Singapore has a no-tipping policy for any travel and dining services. (Restaurants will automatically include a service charge on your bill.)
